The Graph

Graph is a decentralized protocol for indexing and querying blockchain data. It makes it possible to query data that is difficult to query directly. Graph learns how to index blockchain data based on subgraph descriptions (called subgraph manifests). The subgraph description defines which smart contracts the subgraph is interested in, which events in the contracts to watch out for, and how to map event data to the data the Graph will store in its database. The Graph Network is a decentralized indexing protocol for organizing blockchain data. Applications use GraphQL to query open APIs called subgraphs to retrieve indexed data on the web. With Graph, developers can build serverless applications that run entirely on public infrastructure.
