What is PADO Labs?

Powered by PADO Labs, PADO is a cryptography-based infrastructure to bring all Internet data into smart contracts. PADO allows users to attest their off-chain data in an authentic and privacy-preserving manner, and tp further create their attestations, a.k.a., data proofs, which can be shared and accessed by other parties. For example, you can prove to a GameFi protocol, for potential airdrops, that you are a senior player in MOBA games without revealing your personal details. Similarly, you can demonstrate your qualifications as a developer with proper GitHub achievements to gain access to an indoor seminar. In the process of sharing this information, two critical security properties must be guaranteed. Authenticity: It is essential to ensure that user data originates from a specific source and remains unaltered during the sharing process. With PADO, we preserve the data origin and integrity, establishing authenticity. Privacy: Our goal is to handle private information appropriately. Specifically, we adhere to data minimization principles by using zero-knowledge proofs when performing data computations to protect privacy. PADO employs a cryptographic node as the backend attestor. To reduce the trust assumption, PADO team will take an evolutionary strategy, to gradually improve the decentralization of the attestor service. The attestor actively participates in the user data retrieval and sharing process while attesting to the authenticity of the user's data obtained from Web data sources. The unique aspect is that PADO leverages cutting-edge cryptographic techniques, including MPC-TLS (Secure Multi-Party Computation on Transport Layer Security) and IZK (Interactive Zero-Knowledge Proofs), to enable the attestor to "blindly" attest the data. This means that no raw data, including both public and private user information, is visible to the attestor. However, the attestor can still ensure the data origin of any transmitted TLS data through cryptographic approaches. By leveraging PADO's cryptographic infrastructure, users can securely and confidently attest to their off-chain data, create their own attestations, while ensuring authenticity and preserving privacy.
