Bonk is the first Solana dog coin for the people, by the people with ~50% of the total supply airdropped to the Solana community. The BONK contributors were tired of toxic “Alameda” tokenomics and wanted to make a fun memecoin where everyone gets a fair shot. In particular, over 50% of all tokens will be airdropped to the NFT degens and DeFi traders that fearlessly go to battle as the world outside crumbles, the promising 1/1 artists and their proud collectors, and finally the developers who enrich and grow the ecosystem on a daily basis. To prove their loyalty to this network and BONK’s part in it, each contributor will be subject to 3 year-long linear vesting schedules ensuring incentives are aligned in BONK’s long-term success.
