Ape Heroes is an NFT project with a backdoor function, no audit report, and a suspicious source of funds. The platform claims that "Ape Heroes are a band of primates that emerged to protect and safeguard the metaverse from the forces of evil. 10,000 Heroes were minted in October 2021, but the Hero supply dwindles every day as Heroes are constantly being burned to create Ape Villains.
